Trending With Denim

I envy people who know their style mantra and can work it with ease. For me it is an ever changing phenomenon. It is Indian one day, and grunge on the other day. So on this particular day – I wanted to be the denim girl. Honestly, jeans are something that have been a part of my wardrobe ever since I can remember. And they have never failed me. I know that I can resort to my trusted pair of denims and a chic / sport / grunge / classic look falls into place. And a trend that I want to master is denim on denim. It is  tricky business, this denim on denim trend. You can either rock it or you can end up looking rather average. In the past – I have tried the denim on denim look and to be fair it was fairly average (and I am being kind to myself). For this post I decided to do a raw biker look with the denim on denim trend. Bangalore weather is not allowing me to shoot outdoors and I am happy with the bikes and SUVs in the backdrop – it is lending to the rough and touch appearance! And the red lipstick is adding to the pop of colour.

If you are a first timer – try to use different colours. Do not try pairing two blue pieces when you start. First get comfortable with rocking two different pieces in two distinct colours. And I did that for this look. I paired my black denim with a blue denim shirt and boots. Oh by the way – have I told you? I love these boots that I got via a sale at Jabong! I am loving it!

PS. The bikes in the backdrop are not mine. The SUV, however, is.
