My new year resolution for 2015 is to innovate. I intend to shop less (yeah like that is going to happen!) and use the already present collection to create new looks. Now even though I love shopping, it does not really make sense to fill my teeny tiny wardrobe with hoards of clothing, when I can reuse some stuff to create absolutely different looks. For a recent shoot for the folks at Deccan Chronicle – I decided to put my resolution to test. I decided to pair my romper with a maxi skirt and create a fun black and blue day outfit. I paired it with my Propshop24 sunglasses and Koovs heels. I think it is important for everyone to be able to mix and match and take that up by a notch to make your wardrobe complete. Also, imagine the possibility of expanding the scope of your wardrobe because you are able to use your dress as dress, a tunic, and a top.

And with this outfit post, I got my very first mention in the Indian English daily – Deccan Chronicle. The conversation with the folks at Deccan got me thinking as to what a long journey have I made with this blog. In the last few years I have learnt a lot and this mention in the daily was a beautiful ode to this journey. I just hope there are many more to come (hopefully with the correct name). PS. I am Ankita Shekhar and not Ankita Mishra. Do tell me if you saw the feature on the blog and my outfit!
