A trip to The Purple Turtles

Pendant Lights

A quaint little store in a posh locality in Indiranagar and to believe that I never really knew about the place till I visited the Sunday Soul Sante. Those ball-shaped pendant lamps  would be very hard to miss at the sante – they have almost become synonymous with Sunday Soul Sante. And then there are some quirky pieces of furniture that make you wonder how so much creativity and wit can be combined to create something so unique.

I was hoping to visit The Purple Turtles store for a long time – probably ever since I saw their lamps at the first Sunday Soul Sante – but then somehow the opportunity never presented itself. And then there was always this thought at the back of my mind – would go there to look for some lightning solution for the new house WHEN the new house is ready. But then after my trip to the second Soul Sante – I decided it was time to visit the store.

The Purple Turtles is Bangalore’s exclusive innovative designer lights destination and it specializes in providing and customizing lighting ideas to suit your homes, office spaces, resorts, restaurants and every kind of theme-based interiors. And its all that and a lot more – its a dream factory. I was there with my friends Manasa (from Asanam Photography) and Arjun (from Mudelkadi Photography). And for the few hours that we spent there – photographing the essence of the place, we fell in love with the quirkiness of the place and wished if we could actually just LIVE there instead.

So without further delay let me take you to The Purple Turtles – a visual tour.

Since The Purple Turtles started off as a lightning solution studio, so let there be light:

And while it was very hard to take our cameras away from the lights, we did manage to get enthralled by the quirkiness in the furniture and accessories that were on display too. Like the distressed wood screens or the letter box-themed stand.
